Rutland County Council District Council (‘the Council’) has powers under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’) to make traffic regulation orders affecting the adopted highway within the
County of Rutland.
TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council now proposes to make an order entitled the Rutland County Council
District Council (Temporary Diversion of Vehicular Traffic) Stamford Road Parish of Ryhall CP Order 2021 as
the Council are satisfied that traffic on the road should be restricted because works are proposed to be executed
on or near the road.
The effect of the order will be that during the dates and times specified below all vehicles will be prohibited
from proceeding along the length of road known as Stamford Road from the village signs on approach from
Stamford to the junction with Careby Road.
The closure is to enable Tarmac to undertake carriageway surfacing works on behalf of Rutland County
The duration of the Closure shall be for a maximum period of six months from 1st February 2021 or until the
works are completed.
It is anticipated the works will take 18 nights. The closure shall come into force when the appropriate
signs and diversion route are erected on site.
The duration of the Closure shall be as follows: overnight from 1st February 2021 to 19th February 2021.
The alternative route during the closure will be via the route shown on the attached plan and as shown on

Uffington Road, Main Road, Deeping Road, St Lawrence Way, Market Deeping Bypass, Peterborough Road,
Bourne Road, Kates Bridge, South Road, Raymond Mays Way, West Road, Essendine Road and Turnpike Road
with a reciprocal route.
Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
