Experience of assisting or advising a committee or other formal group, including agenda preparation and minute taking.
Experience of budget setting, monitoring processes and financial control and reporting.
|Holds the Certificate in Local Council Administration or be prepared to work towards obtaining it on appointment within 1 year of commencement. |
Formal accountancy or similar qualification.
Previous experience of working for local authority or similar body, or in similar post.
Previous experience of clerking role, including agenda preparation and minuting skills.
Experience of dealing with the public and working on own initiative.
Financial experience in an organisation.

(a) the governance, operational, financial and legal framework in which the Council operates including local authority planning procedures.
(b) the operation and administration of a parish council, including responsibilities, systems and procedures.

(d) using and updating a public facing website.
(e) Health & Safety and Data Protection legislation.
(f) budget setting, audit and monitoring processes and financial management.
(g) basic financial and accounting procedures.
