This project aims to enable public buildings with full fibre which future proofs the local infrastructure and act as hub points to extend connectivity to surrounding business and residential properties along the network routes to ensure our communities thrive
Ryhall Library and Primary School are due to be upgraded and this should be completed by March 2021 latest. This should make it possible for nearby residents to apply for upgrades at a reduced cost, as the infrastructure will already be installed.
This scheme offers householders a voucher towards group bids to active suppliers in their area (ours has four, including BT). The two schemes are titled Rural and Enhanced. The Rural scheme must include a business and ten or more households, and offers vouchers of £2500 to the business and £500 to each household. It promises a minimum broadband speed of 30 Mbps. The Enhanced scheme is for households only, and promises minimum speeds of 100 Mbps. In each case, only a 12 months subscription is required to qualify for the capital investment. The scheme is open-ended, dependent on continuing funding availability.
