Paul Huddleston has retired from the parish council after 21 years. We pay tribute to Paul for his long and valued service.
He joined the parish council in May 1999 , took on the role of Vice Chair in May 2003 and later elected to the position of Chairman in May 2013.
Over the decades he had achieved a huge amount for the parishes and expended so many hours of service to Ryhall and Belmesthorpe
He was also the parish council representative on the Village Hall committee to which he was very committed and in addtion was the lead / chair of the planning committee , whose role is commenting and making observations on ( average ) 25 planning and tree applications a year.
Heading a parish council is not always an easy task and there have been events that have proved difficult and testing. However, Paul as Chairman always had the capacity and charm to steer the parish council and the community.
He will be greatly missed for his calm leadership, excellent journalist skills and font of knowledge. Paul always led with strategic thinking and strong diplomatic skills.
On behalf of the parish council and the community we thank Paul for his dedication and hard work and we wish him all the very best in his future endeavours.
